Composite French Charleville Pattern Musket .72 caliber. 42" barrel. NSN. Heavily oxidized metal, iron furniture, walnut stock. Single shot flintlock musket with socket bayonet lug under barrel about 2" from the muzzle, sling swivels and an iron ramrod. Musket of nominally French 1763/66 pattern with a stepped M1754 style lock that appears to be in original flint and which seems to have been in the gun for a very long time. Touchhole bored out and over sized. Markings weak.
