The bottle is formed from opaque white glass with a flattened ovoid body, a short cylindrical neck, and a slightly recessed oval foot. The exterior is decorated in polychrome enamels, with a bright yellow ground embellished with scrolling floral motifs framing circular reserves on each side. One side depicts a horned ox standing in a grassy landscape, accompanied by flowering plants and a butterfly above, rendered with fine black outlines and opaque enamel colors. The reverse is decorated with complementary floral ornament within a similar circular reserve.
The neck is encircled by painted ornamental bands in red, blue, and white, and fitted with a metal-mounted collar and a domed pink glass stopper.
The base bears a four-character mark reading Guyuexuan, applied in enamel, referencing a well-known Qing dynasty decorative studio name frequently adopted on later 20th-century enameled glass wares. The bottle corresponds to decorative enameled glass snuff bottles produced in the modern period, drawing inspiration from earlier imperial and literati decorative traditions.
Height 6 cm (2 3/8 in.), width 4.5 cm (1 3/4 in.).
Provenance: Private Collection. Acquired on the art market, 20th century.
